About Our School

Notre Dame Catholic School is located in the heart of the Oakridge community. The school was built in the 1957 and additions were completed as the community grew. The school’s enrollment is continuing to grow and currently is at 307 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, when we're fully "in-school".

In the spring of 2009 Notre Dame’s boundaries changed to include areas bounded by the Thames River in the south, east of Hyde Park Road to Oxford Street, then east of Guildwood Boulevard and north to the railroad track running parallel to Sarnia Gravel Road.

The area east of Proudfoot Lane north of Oxford Street and the area south of Oxford Street bounded by Wonderland Road is also included. For complete boundary details, please call Notre Dame Catholic School. Notre Dame is well served by its Catholic School Parent Council, which reports regularly to the community.

Facilities

Notre Dame Catholic School has 10 classrooms in the main building and 3 located in portables.  The school derives much use from a large up to date Library, which includes a modern computer lab.

Living Our Faith

Transportation Information

Presently, less than a 1/3 of the student population is bussed. We have two Langs busses that service Notre Dame. Please refer www.mybigyellowbus.ca for cancellations.

School Safety

The Notre Dame staff, School Council and Safe School Committee has worked diligently to ensure the school is a safe, caring and healthy environment for all children to learn, play and grow. All members of the Notre Dame School community are expected to do their best, show respect for oneself and others, and contribute in positive ways toward the betterment of our school. A complete over view of the school’s code of conduct is provided for all students in the front of their student agenda.
